Sacred Blue Lake

The Chilean-Venezuelan writer and dancer, Constanza Pollier, is preparing to present her recent literary work. A collection of stories, which make up "The Man Alone", "Footprint" and "Blue Lake Sacred", inspired by traditional cultures of countries in which he has lived. Born in Chile, Pollier lived in Venezuela since she was a child with her family, where she studied primary and higher education. His mother wrote poetry and his father recited and memorized the great poets, giving recitals to everyone at the family table. All this motivated his love of reading, taking her to study letters. The experiences during the elaboration of his thesis of studies, presented in the UCV, on "Reading of the Baskets Yecuanas" and "Body Decorations of the Yanomami Ethnicity" and its trips to the Amazon Rainforest of Venezuela in Alto Orinoco were source of inspiration for The story "The Winged Man". "The jungle got to my soul, it made me a different being. I could see in her the transition of man on this planet and the importance of keeping it alive and healthy as an eternal mother that will accompany us the rest of our existence, "he says. The constant visits for long and short periods to her homeland where she continues searching for answers of her own family history, took her to that peculiar southern island, Chilo� and to write "Huella", a story about the "tangled Chilean family" and the encounters with their ancestors. The third tale of this trilogy entitled "Sacred Blue Lake" is born of the close relationship of her North American husband with the Tiwa tribe that lives in Taos New Mexico. "With them and in an ancient ritual I married my current husband. I lived in Santa Fe NM, traveling to Taos, where I was inspired to write this story, about this incredible and wonderful people, "he says. According to Constanza, these stories have great narrative richness, are aimed at young people over 12 years and constitute a reading that can delight any adult. They include beautiful drawings by the renowned Venezuelan illustrator Vanessa Balleza and an explanatory glossary of terms used on traditions and customs, which gives them a didactic category showing us these natural societies, traditional and remote ethnicities in different places of our Americas.
