Main & North Campus Adoptions

Greetings UNM Main and North Campus Faculty & Staff,

The Course Materials Department here at your UNM Bookstores is here to support the academic mission of the University by providing the materials professors need to teach their classes effectively.  We strive to sell those materials at the lowest prices we can to help our students’ textbook dollars go farther.

The way you can help in this mission is to ensure your textbook orders – or that of your departments if you are the administrator submitting textbook adoptions for your department – is to submit your course materials adoptions in a timely manner.

In the mid-Fall of 2016, the UNM Bookstores began utilizing the new Verba Collect tool to gather adoptions for all Main Campus courses.  The positive feedback, coupled with the vastly increased success in adoption submission compliance was an overwhelming success and beginning with Summer and Fall 2017 course materials adoptions, we will now be accommodating our North Campus faculty and staff by having them utilize the Verba Collect Tool as well.

Emails will be generated that include a link for you to follow which allows you to submit your adoptions online in a much more streamlined fashion. Benefits include:

  •  No need for endless forms – click your course and section and enter your book info!
  • Verba Collect provides a course history going back 2 years where you can simply ‘re-adopt’ all, some or none of the prior books used in that course.
  • Affordability scores to help you select the most affordable materials for your course(s)
  • Notification if your book is available in a newer edition

Emails will persist as long as there are courses that have no information.  Should you receive an email for a course that should never require a book, let us know and we can remove that course from future term requests.  Please feel free to contact us with any questions, issues or if you would like a representative from the UNM Bookstores Textbook Department to arrange in-person assistance with utilizing Verba Collect.

Those in need of a new or updated link to submit, please email the request any time to  Be certain to verify the course(s), section(s) and your UNM email address.
